I was born in Tehran, Iran and primarily raised in Vienna, Austria. My practice and offerings are informed by my diasporic upbringing and rooted in values of collective care, solidarity, abolition and true justice. I wholeheartedly reject spiritual bypassing and believe we all have an obligation to remain present with and respond to the injustices of the world. I do not believe movement or the right yoga class or Pilates session will solve all your problems or make the world a more just place, but I do believe that showing up for ourselves and our bodies, taking the time to take deep, intentional breaths and moving our bodies will create discipline and ease within ourselves, allowing us to show up as our whole selves to better take on the injustices of the world.
